According to news reports, Amazon.com is in talks to buy the company that makes this chips for its Kindles.
I’m no technical or financial analyst, but once a company starts expanding beyond it’s primary product (in this case, being a web retailer), I think it’s jumped the shark. Look at Dell, HP, even Google and Microsoft, going into the phone making business, how’s that working out? How’s about their Mp3 players? There’s no point in buying the chip company, IMHO.
Doesn’t it make sense to have those who advocate science on the House Science Committee? Of course it does. So why do we have knuckleheads such as these:
Republican Congressman Paul Broun of Georgia, who, at his church and on video, has said:
“God’s word is true. I’ve come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior.”
We also have the wonderful Representative Todd Akin, Republican from Missouri. He, this past August, had claimed that women who are victims of “legitimate rape”, cannot get pregnant because their bodies go into some sort of defensive mode and that “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”
As I have said before…TERM LIMITS people. It’s the only way to get the corrupt (and in this case, stupid) officials out of politics.

Well, I figured the media would give Romney the “win” for the first debate. But Obama really did lousy. I mean, as soon as Romney mentioned he would cut PBS, the President should have shot back saying millions of kids grow up watching and learning from Sesame Street.I don’t know about your kids Gov. Romney, but my kids grew up watching Sesame Street and learned alot from it.
How could you cut back on educational programs yet increase spending on the military? Especially when money for the military can be gained from the draw downs of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. And point out how Republicans want to keep building tanks that the Army doesn’t want?
When Gov. Romney apologized for calling the Affordable Care Act “ObamaCare”, the President should of retorted, “ObamaCare, RomneyCare, same thing! Call it what you want”.
The President should have explained more on how the Affordable Care Act has helped insure millions who did not have insurance or had trouble getting insurance. He should of associated that with it being a moral obligation to help those who are less fortunate.
Can’t wait for the Biden/Ryan debate! I think Biden will be more forceful and enthusiastic.
Can’t wait for the debates come Wednesday. Unless Romney royally screws up, look for the media to declare the debate a win for Romney. They don’t want a one sided blowout victory. That won’t sell. They need Romney to do well and they will spin the debate story Thursday morning to make it seem like he did even if he doesn’t.
Madonna, on tour in D.C., apparently is trying to get people to vote for Obama:
“Y’all better vote for f–king Obama, OK? For better or for worse, all right? We have a black Muslim in the White House. Now that’s some amazing s–t,”
Gee thanks Madonna. Way to help out the Democrats. Clint Eastwood has a chair for you to sit on.
Here’s a link to the video…
Around NYC recently, “advertisements’ went up depicting an NYPD logo and a picture of a drone firing a missile at a family of three. The ad, which you can see here from the animalnewyork website, was obviously a fake.
The animalnewyork website has an interview with the artist. “Essam” who identifies with libertarianism and thinks Obama and Romney are the same.
I love the ad. It pretty much sums up my feelings, how the government along with the police forces are slowly chipping away at our freedoms and liberty. And news items, such as the following, of questionable killings by police officers, gives me a cold chill down my spine:
There are plenty more, someone should compile a running list.
There are plenty of good officers who certainly protect the citizens of this great country. But the events like those listed above surely make you think.
Regarding the fake ad though, I hope they don’t find the artist.
Sooo, I see that the “Romney Video” released by MotherJones.com, in which he practically disowns 47% of the country, saying they are dependent on the government, is still making it’s rounds. I think the media is trying to keep the video in the news. The video itself is not newsworthy. The man is saying what he needs to say in front of the donors that he needs. This is politics folks. The politicians say what we want to hear, in order to get the money they want and need, to get power and/or keep the power that they have. This is not a Republican only phenomenon. It is also a Democratic phenomenon. It is also a dictatorship phenomenon.
